The Service

Instacook is a meal-planning and recipe application that helps you plan meals, discover recipes, and generate personalized cooking and shopping suggestions, including features powered by artificial intelligence. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.

Subscriptions & billing

Instacook is offered on a subscription basis. Subscriptions purchased on our website at instacook.app are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd (“Paddle”), which acts as the merchant of record for those purchases. This means Paddle, not Instacook, handles the payment transaction, billing, and related invoicing. We manage subscription entitlements and access through RevenueCat, which integrates with Paddle to confirm your subscription status. Your purchase through the website is also subject to Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Paddle’s privacy policy.

• Recurring billing. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (for example, monthly or annually) at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Price changes. We may change subscription prices. Any change applies to future billing periods, and we will give you reasonable notice where required by law.
• Access. A valid subscription grants access to the corresponding paid features within the Instacook iOS app for the duration of the subscription period.
• Apple purchases. If you instead purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store, that transaction is governed by Apple’s terms and is managed through your Apple account rather than Paddle.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. For subscriptions purchased through our website, you can cancel using the management link in your purchase confirmation email or by contacting us at support@instacook.app. For subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store, you must manage and cancel them in your Apple account settings. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current paid period, after which the subscription will not renew.

Refunds

Refunds for website purchases are handled on a case-by-case basis and are subject to Paddle’s buyer policies and applicable consumer-protection law. If you believe you are entitled to a refund or have been billed in error, contact us at support@instacook.app and we will review your request in good faith. Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store are subject to Apple’s refund policies and must be requested through Apple.

AI-generated content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate recipes, meal plans, and cooking suggestions. This content is provided for general informational purposes only and may contain errors or inaccuracies. It is not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. You are responsible for verifying that any recipe or suggestion is safe and appropriate for you, including with respect to allergies, intolerances, and health conditions. Always check ingredients and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its content without our permission;
• attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent any security or access controls;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers and networks behind it;
• upload content that infringes the rights of others or that is illegal, harmful, or abusive.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

User content

You keep ownership of the content you create or upload, such as saved recipes, notes, and photos. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the rights to submit it.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and original content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Apple, Paddle, RevenueCat, Supabase, Google (Gemini API), Scrape Creators, PostHog, and Sentry. Your use of the Service may be subject to those providers’ terms, and we are not responsible for their services or content.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for your needs.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Instacook and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law, will survive.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version at instacook.app with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The competent courts of Israel will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
